Episode 29: The Forgotten Fard | Sheikh Rian

In this episode, Shiekh Rian talks about "The forgotten obligation Khilafah" that by and large the ummah has taken for granted for the past 1400 years and historically it's an obligation that wasn't really up for debate or discussion since the beginning of Islam. Just like other obligations (Hajj, fasting during Ramadan, Salah), the obligation on establishing Islam in a practical sense as a government in the form of Khilafah was never debated among scholars and always agreed upon.

Imam al-Qurturbi (rh.a.) said, 

"The Khilafah is the pillar upon which other pillars rest".
